I took a trip to Columbus, Georgia to spend some time with my hubby before he deployed to Iraq. Since he was busy during the days preparing to leave, I took some sewing to keep me from getting bored. It was a great week and I got 6 new blocks made for my son's black, white and red quilt. So I'm up to 13. Now I've got to decide if I will make the quilt 4 x 5 or 5 x 5. I also found some really pretty BWR backing and a really good quilt shop. I had tons of fun and even got to see my daughter and grandson for 2 days. The weather was great, the company was great, the hotel was great and the sewing was great. Loved it!

These are wonderful! I really need to get back to working on my red, Black and White blocks now that I've finished my stuff for the quilt show.
Sounds like you had a great time away. Do you know how long your hubby will be in Iraq?
Your blocks look fantastic. I need to get back to my b/w & Pink BOM's, but they'll have to wait until after my wedding. So glad to hear you got to spend time with you hubby, daughter, and grandson.
